Tobiuo Sushi & Bar was opened in 2018 but shortly taken over by Sherman Yeung in 2019. Since then, Yeung has poured all efforts into transforming Tobiuo into one of Katy and Greater Houston’s best sushi restaurants. From Japanese inspired cooked dishes from the kitchen, to innovative cocktails from the bar, to even special fish flown in directly from Toyosu Market, Japan, Tobiuo caters to all audiences and occasions. Nestled in the heart of LaCenterra plaza in Katy, TX, Tobiuo offers a warm and comforting dining space with a heavy emphasis on hospitality and dining experience.

Yeung is an alum of Uchi Houston but also has spent time at Izakaya Wa, Yauatcha, and staged at Birdsong and Smyth at San Francisco and Chicago, respectively. With a strong appreciation for Asian cultures, Yeung combines cultural roots with modern techniques to his restaurant.
